Every day and every way I am trying to improve my thinking sometimes its easy and sometimes a little harder, the human mind loves to find things to stress about. There seems to constantly be something in our lives that causes us to worry. And when the things that caused the worry disappears, just for a moment we feel happy, we feel free and we feel peace, but only for a short period of time until we find something else to stress about.
There is so much stress in our day to day existence. Stress is a fear reaction to life and to life’s constant changes. Stress has become a catch word and we use it as an excuse for not taking responsibility for our feelings.
If we start to replace the word stress with the word fear, then we can begin to eliminate the need for fear in our life. A peaceful and relaxed person is neither frightened nor stressed. Why are we afraid? Why do we give our power away? How can we eliminate that fear and move through life feeling safe? We can do this by changing our thinking.
Start by writing down the following - Answer as honestly as you can...
- Why are you here?
- What do you want to achieve in this world?
- What excites you?
- What do you love to do most?
- Where would you most like to do it?
- Who would you most like to do it with?
- What sort of impact on others do you hope to make doing what you do?
By starting to see what your passionate about and what your looking for, you can then start your journey on the path for freedom, the path that you REALLY want to be on.
Whether or not you want to believe it, if you don't love yourself, and if you dont know what YOU want out of your life then no one else can truly understand, know or love you. Certainly you can be in relationships and experience varieties of emotions similar to love, freedom, lust, but if you don't love yourself, if you don't respect yourself, I can guarantee you that no one else can really, truly love or respect you either. I can guarantee you that your life will be out of control if you dont know the TRUE answers to the above 7 questions then where are you going? Whose life are you living?
How do I know this? Well it seems that the older I get, the more I get to know myself, and, much to my surprise, the more I actually love, appreciate and understand myself. And, not surprisingly, the more I grow to love myself and value my place in this world, the more love and acceptance I experience in my relationships with others. It may seem cliche, but I can only speak from a place of my experiences and my expereinces show the more educated we are about our life plan, and the more in tune with ourselves we are the more we grow and the freer we become.
If you want other people to love you, you must love yourself. If you want other people to live a fulfulling life with you, you must know what YOU want!
